You end up on a playground with only your spherical self and two arms. Arms that your potential friends don't have.

Befriend up to four cool kids by hugging them! And roll around, that's also fun.

Controls: you need keyboard and trackpad or a mouse with a scrollwheel.

Can also be played with a bend sensor on-site instead to satisfy your squeezing needs.

Very interesting little game! I enjoyed it!

Thank you for playing!

super cute! played it with ny mouse. it really made me smile and feel better, love the look  of it all.

Thank you! It's great to hear that our game affected your mood positively! <3

It's cute and, fun  but, it gets a little tiring in the hand the amount of scrolling you have to do to play the game. Even just to move you have to scroll so he can roll around. Still a fun game though!

Thank you for playing!

Short, quirky, and mildly amusing, Hug Them Real Good is a pleasant way to start your day. What better way to spread love and joy to those around you than hugging strangers on a playground? The custom squeeze control, while I'm unable to use it, seems like a neat thing, and the isometric movement takes getting used to, but makes playing on the equipment fun.

Good job, devs. You made a thing.

i really like it, but the control is kinda hard at first. can you put another level after i hug that big eye?

Hi! Thanks for playing. We don't have any plans of putting an additional level right now, but we've talked about working on making the controls easier to understand. :)

thats too bad, i reaaally like the game and ive even played it for more than once but i guess you dont have to add a level.

The main issue which very annoyed me  was the scrolling to accelerate. Took me too long to understand that, to the point I've almost ditched the game, and it's tedious and it's just takes out the fun. The idea however is fine.

I'm sorry that the splitting of movement and acceleration was confusing. It's definitely an issue we're aware of--people are often stumped in the beginning because the controls are pretty unconventional. It's an issue that we could've easily avoided with a few playtests but that's hard to do during a game jam haha. Thank you for persevering and playing anyway though!!

To implement hugging as a core mechanic spreads a very positive message and attitude, in my opinion. That's why I'm very glad you made this lovely game. Also, your choice of setting (the playground) and all the non-binary characters make it even better. <3 Simply a wonderful Train Jam 2018 entry, congratulations for that! :) And though you already know how much I appreciated it thanks to our article about it, I thought that it may be of interest for other users why we recommended this game as well. That's why I added our playthrough video to the comment. :) I hope to see more games made by you in the future!

Best wishes,

Wow, this is high praise! Both Tim and I appreciate(d) this comment and your feature a lot. Thank you so much!

You're very welcome! The world simply needs just more cute games like that one. :)

The CUTEST and most HUMBLE game I've played recently! Loving that art style too! The hugging mechanic was a tad bit confusing with the scroll wheel at first, but once we found their sweet spot, we became true friends! 12/10 would make friends again

That was a really cute playthrough! Sorry about the confusing controls and last hugging sequence haha. Thank you for playing!!

cute <3

thanks hang :^)

I really liked it! I saw your screen on the train and it reminded me that I like weird games and inspired me to do my game.

Thank you!! Makes me wonder whose screen it was haha, it might've also been skippyskippy's :)
